Doom PC Requirements

Can your PC run the new Doom? Here’s a list of things that you need checked inside your engine to have it run like baby oil:

Minimum:

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions); Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better;
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 55 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
  • Contains a single disc with 45GB of additional download. *A practice mostly done by Bethesda.
  • Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for Multiplayer and SnapMap.

Still a bit unconvinced about Doom? Here’s a trailer that might make you change your mind:

The 2016 Doom has so much going for it as it will try to emulate the appeal and the speed of the classic. As demons swarm, there will be only one left in the fray — the Marine. Also welcome are new mechanics that would make the game more palatable to today’s taste such as melee attacks and a multiplayer similar to that of Quake 3. Would Doom be successful? we’ll have to wait for next week to know.

Doom will start preloading on both consoles and for the PC this May 11 at 12am on all  timezones. The game will be available for play on May 13th, Friday.
