The EastWay Pay App is only available for Android users right now due to platform or OS security disagreements with Apple. All credit card terminals that uses Visa Paywave is compatible to use this service, all you have to do is pair your number to the EastWest Pay app once you got your Visa Credit card.

For context, all NFC engagements with iOS powered devices are facilitated within their cloud services. Due to that EastWest Pay is a banking app, there are security standards that must be met for both device and platform to secure a transaction.

EastWest also mentioned that currently the service is exclusive to Visa with a pipeline to open for other credit cards and even debit card.

This innovation is highly welcomed indeed especially that this kind of technology is technically available for Filipinos, but there is not just any providers strong enough to ignite it. Well, EastWest looks like started a trend now.
