Honor is now rolling out the EMUI 9.1 update to select smartphones. The EMUI 9.1 update will add more features to these smartphones such as performance-optimization, interface enhancements, and AI-assisted features.
The EMUI 9.1 update for Honor smartphones will come with GPU Turbo 3.0 that allows the smartphones’ SoC to deliver better graphics performance while lowering the power consumption. GPU Turbo 3.0 current works in 25 popular games including Mobile Legends, PUBG, Rules of Survival, and Fortnite.
This new update will also upgrade the internal storage of all Honor smartphones to the new Extendable Read-Only File System (EROFS), which allows the startup speed of Honor smartphones decrease by 10% and ups the random read performance by up to 20%.
Honor will also be adding more AI-assisted features on the EMUI 9.1 update. This will include AI vlog editing that allows users to choose from presets, special effects, and backgrounc music to make editing a little bit less tedious than usual.
The AR Measure App will also be included. This will allow select smartphones to capture the length, area, and volume of objects with just a touch of a button.
