Epson Philippines has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability through its Corporate Waste Collection Program. Launched in partnership with Envirotech Waste Recycling Waste Inc., they have repurposed 213kg of recyclable materials as of June 2024, preventing them from ending up as waste.

This initiative began in October 2023 in Davao City and engages select dealers of corporate printers in collecting empty ink cartridges, bottles, and boxes. Envirotech then transforms them into usable items like chairs, tables, tiles, pallets, bricks, pots and planters, lamps, garbage bins, and the like.

Within 6 months of the program, it doubled its initial 106kg of collected recyclable materials as of June 2024 thanks to the participation of its dealers.

To build on this success, Epson plans to expand the program to Manila and Cebu later this year to engage more dealers and B2B channel partners in the collaborative push towards sustainability.

At Epson, we are committed to promoting sustainability across the value chain and implementing a circular economy where possible. This program demonstrates what can be done to reduce waste and our overall environmental footprint,” Epson Philippines President and Director Masako Kusama said. “We are excited to see this program further expand, so that we can have a greater positive social impact to more communities in the Philippines.”
