In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players can find journals scattered across the game world, one of which is the journal of Expedition 84. Get to know the contents of this journal, where to find it, and more using this guide.
Expedition 84’s journal can be found in The Fountain, west of Spring Meadows (the starting area of the game). You can only access this place once Esquie gains the ability to fly.
Upon entering, continue forward until you arrive at the fountain with the white Nevron. Continue down the path to your right until you reach the end. The journal of Expedition 84 can be found at the edge, near the stream.
The journal explains that after Expedition 0, expeditions from Lumiere stopped for 15 years.

My favourite theory is that she’s some crazy demonic maths teacher, and this is our punishment for failing at numbers!
A load of superstitious hysteria, but at least we’re here now.
It’s worth it just to walk these valleys. I’ve barely seen a meadow since Lady Genocide and her poison smoke took up residence.
And the sky. I feel almost naked without the Dome above us.
We’re so exposed, but it’s thrilling too.
We landed at the exact spot where Expedition Zero touched ground and retraced their route, but there’s not a SINGLE scrap of cloth or body anywhere.
Bloody hell, we’re out here chasing shadows, 15-year old shadows I’m glad we restarted the Expeditions but how the hell are we supposed to find them, no trail could last 15 years…
Collecting Journals is not for naught! Once you collect a good amount, you can exchange them for those tasty Colour of Lumina. And it’s not a small amount either, you can get about 100 Colour of Lumina if you collect enough and exchange them at the Gestral Village. You can find this Gestral by turning left and heading towards the Gestral Bazaar once you pass the village gates.
As they were mostly written by members of previous Expeditions, journals explain a lot about the world of Clair Obscu: Expedition 33. These journals contain discoveries, horrors, and even triumphs of those that went before Expedition 33. Collecting them might be optional but if you really want to learn more about the world, you may have to explore a lot while keeping your eyes peeled.
Curious about the best ending for Expedition 33? Wonder know more as we have a handy guide for that.
On the other hand, we can help you in finding the other journals using this handy journal list.
