In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players can find journals scattered across the game world, one of which is the journal of Expedition 48. Get to know the contents of this journal, where to find it, and more using this guide.
Expedition 48’s journal can be found in the Stone Quarry, a location near the exit of the Forgotten Battlefield. Once you exit the Forgotten Battlefield, head east and hug the walls of the quarry until you reach its entrance.
The Stone Quarry’s area is just small and you can even see the journal from the flag itself. It is located just behind the White Nevron, Troubadour.
Vincent, 48th
He wouldn’t listen, just kept running everyone into the ground. He acted as if he was the only true believer, that we had to trust him. Five dead and he wanted to double down.
Thomas not so subtly insinuated that Jean should be relieved of duty. Mutiny. Something I’d never have countenanced, yet I have a duty to hem too.
It’s a gutting realisation, what has to be done. The mission is too important. The team is too important. We can’t just throw our lives away for nothing. I hate that it came to this, but he broke our trust.
Under Expedition Code 23, Jean Fournier is hereby relieved of duty. I, Vincent Constantin have assumed command and have designated Thomas Fliegauff as Lieutenant.
Collecting Journals is not for naught! Once you collect a good amount, you can exchange them for those tasty Colour of Lumina. And it’s not a small amount either, you can get about 100 Colour of Lumina if you collect enough and exchange them at the Gestral Village. You can find this Gestral by turning left and heading towards the Gestral Bazaar once you pass the village gates.
As they were mostly written by members of previous Expeditions, journals explain a lot about the world of Clair Obscu: Expedition 33. These journals contain discoveries, horrors, and even triumphs of those that went before Expedition 33. Collecting them might be optional but if you really want to learn more about the world, you may have to explore a lot while keeping your eyes peeled.
Curious about the best ending for Expedition 33? Wonder know more as we have a handy guide for that.
On the other hand, we can help you in finding the other journals using this handy journal list.
