In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players can find journals scattered across the game world, one of which is the journal of Expedition 50. Get to know the contents of this journal, where to find it, and more using this guide.
Expedition 50’s journal can be found in Stone Wave Cliffs. From the “Paintress Shrine” flag, continue down the path towards the shrine then into the next area. Survive the Nevron ambush. Next, use the right path and defeat the patrolling Cultist. After the battle, use the slope to your right to go up until you reach the second landing. Behind the lone stone pillar is the journal of Expedition 50.
Lucile of the 50th
Our beautiful Wheel, wedged upon the rocks, a casualty of the massive Serpent of the sea. But even shattered, its presence is still comforting.
Adrien and Gabriel are doing their best to sustain morale, but with no food, no clean water, no way to fix the Wheel, our fate is quite clear. To me, at least. But I have no desire to hold back the hopes of others. Perhaps. Perhaps we will find a way back.
At least we got to see some of the wonders of this world. Even the Serpent, cruel as it is, has a deadly elegance that is mesmerising. But oh, what other marvels might we have seen had we been able to keep rolling?
I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to grow up outside the Dome. Perhaps even live amongst the Nevrons. Could we have achieved a form of peace? Or even prospered alongside them?
Collecting Journals is not for naught! Once you collect a good amount, you can exchange them for those tasty Colour of Lumina. And it’s not a small amount either, you can get about 100 Colour of Lumina if you collect enough and exchange them at the Gestral Village. You can find this Gestral by turning left and heading towards the Gestral Bazaar once you pass the village gates.
As they were mostly written by members of previous Expeditions, journals explain a lot about the world of Clair Obscu: Expedition 33. These journals contain discoveries, horrors, and even triumphs of those that went before Expedition 33. Collecting them might be optional but if you really want to learn more about the world, you may have to explore a lot while keeping your eyes peeled.
Curious about the best ending for Expedition 33? Wonder know more as we have a handy guide for that.
On the other hand, we can help you in finding the other journals using this handy journal list.
