Expedition 53’s journal can be found in The Small Burgeon, just west of the exit of Flying Waters. Once you enter, traverse until you reach the end of the area. You’ll see a pile of corpses with Expedition 53’s journal lying in front of them.

You can find this Gestral by turning left and heading towards the Gestral Bazaar once you pass the village gates.
