In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players can find journals scattered across the game world, one of which is the journal of Expedition 69. Get to know the contents of this journal, where to find it, and more using this guide.
Expedition 69’s journal can be found in one of the areas of the map, Visages. This location can only be accessed after the events of Old Lumiere.
To get the journal, take the left-most path in the Plazza. After entering and exiting the mask’s mouth, head further until you reach the flag for “Joy Vale”. From the flag, take the left path and proceed until you reach an elevated landing patrolled by Nevrons. Defeat the Nevrons to get the journal of Expedition 69.
69th Expedition – Fleur
Good thing Anthony upgraded all the climbing handholds, not only are they much easier to install in the cliff faces, they’re also a lot nicer to use.
We’re setting the last few handholds tomorrow, then we can finally get out of these caverns and see the sun again. I can’t wait to rejoin the mountaineering team.
I still remember the first mountain we scaled. Watching the sun rise above the clouds was magical. But rappelling down as we set the handholds was pure exhilaration.
I know some of the others chafe at being restricted to recon-only. I get it’s not very satisfying making maps and prepping trails while people are dying, but this prep work will pay off in the long run. It may not be glamorous, but truly essential work rarely is. Doesn’t make it any less important. And as the Expedition 69 motto says, we are literally laying a trail for the ones who come after.
Collecting Journals is not for naught! Once you collect a good amount, you can exchange them for those tasty Colour of Lumina. And it’s not a small amount either, you can get about 100 Colour of Lumina if you collect enough and exchange them at the Gestral Village. You can find this Gestral by turning left and heading towards the Gestral Bazaar once you pass the village gates.
As they were mostly written by members of previous Expeditions, journals explain a lot about the world of Clair Obscu: Expedition 33. These journals contain discoveries, horrors, and even triumphs of those that went before Expedition 33. Collecting them might be optional but if you really want to learn more about the world, you may have to explore a lot while keeping your eyes peeled.
Curious about the best ending for Expedition 33? Wonder know more as we have a handy guide for that.
On the other hand, we can help you in finding the other journals using this handy journal list.
