In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players can find journals scattered across the game world, one of which is the journal of Julie. Get to know the contents of this journal, where to find it, and more using this guide.
Julie’s journal can be found on a plateau west of the exit of the Forgotten Battlefield. It can only be accessed after Esquie gains the ability to fly which is after you defeat the Paintress. While not a major character in the game, Julie’s name is mentioned multiple times as she was Verso’s lover.
Julie’s journal is connected to the events written in Verso’s journal.
Julie, Search and Rescue
I KNOW what I saw. He DIED. He fucking DIED. That attack destroyed half his torso, there’s no walking away from that. But when I found him, he was unconscious but whole. His uniform was destroyed, yes, but his chest was merely bruised!
He says the blast just missed him and it was chaotic during battle so I probably misunderstood what I saw. BULLSHIT. Absolute BLOODY bullshit.
He and his father keep saying the Paintress is the solution, not the problem, but I don’t buy it anymore. I think they’re lying about what happened to Expedition Zero. Somehow everyone else died but they walked out without a scratch?
It hurts to think he’d betray us, but nobody ever expects to be betrayed. His mistake though, is thinking his charm is sufficient to sell his lies. We’ll take him tomorrow night. Claude, Louise, and Dion are no fools, they saw what I saw. We WILL get answers. And if he is a traitor, then he will share the fate of traitors.
Collecting Journals is not for naught! Once you collect a good amount, you can exchange them for those tasty Colour of Lumina. And it’s not a small amount either, you can get about 100 Colour of Lumina if you collect enough and exchange them at the Gestral Village. You can find this Gestral by turning left and heading towards the Gestral Bazaar once you pass the village gates.
As they were mostly written by members of previous Expeditions, journals explain a lot about the world of Clair Obscu: Expedition 33. These journals contain discoveries, horrors, and even triumphs of those that went before Expedition 33. Collecting them might be optional but if you really want to learn more about the world, you may have to explore a lot while keeping your eyes peeled.
Curious about the best ending for Expedition 33? Wonder know more as we have a handy guide for that.
On the other hand, we can help you in finding the other journals using this handy journal list.
