Verso’s play style is to build up or maintain “Perfection”. Perfection grants additional damage and bonuses to skills, allowing Verso to deal large amounts of damage in a single turn. Some weapons allow you to start with a higher level of Perfection, leading to less turns needed to make Verso a very formidable character in the battlefield. Some even lock Verso to a certain level of Perfection, ensuring that your compatible skills are always maximized.
Note that taking damage reduces your Perfection. Parrying, dodging, or having shields is the way to go if you wish to preserve your Perfection!
Verso’s has skills that deal damage via multiple strikes. As landing a critical deals a lot more damage, you’ll want to deal all attacks as criticals! With that said, make good use of the passives of each weapon to build up either perfection or use Pictos to increase the critical chance of Verso. Once you get Verso as a lean, mean, critical machine, you’ll chop up multiple enemies in no time.
To fully maximize each weapon, they must be upgraded to higher levels. The higher the level, the better the stats. Aside from better numbers, you also get to unlock three passive abilities with each weapon, granting the user incredible advantages in the battlefield. As mentioned, upgrade resources may be scarce in the early and middle parts of the game so choose wisely when upgrading a weapon.
