We asked for a dislike button. Not 6 more. But hey, it’s something.

We may not get our much-awaited “dislike” button on Facebook, but the social network site is starting to roll out something similar to it today. Fair enough.

Reactions, a new feature for Facebook to add with the like button will give you the access to respond to post through emojis. It started to roll out last month in other countries and now they’re rolling this cool feature in The Philippines, today.

fb-reactions-2

Simply put, Reactions act like an extension of the Like button. You can use it in every post you’ll see in Facebook. Long pressing (or hovering if you’re on the desktop) on the like button will pop a panel of six different reactions. These are “like”, “love”, “haha”, “yay”, “wow”, “sad” and “anger”.

Each reactions are partnered with an emoji, which will be displayed alongside the number of likes underneath a post which now looks very crowded. Note that you can only give one reaction per post.
