Keeping busy is one of the things that you couldn’t do during the time between Christmas and New Year (more often than not). You might find yourself wanting to slack off, go with friends, and cap off a god-awful / splendid year with a steak or two. Living abroad taught me that these things won’t be possible. Given such predicament, I went back and hibernated with my good ‘ol computer, buying some games to keep the tears away. One of those games is Doom, the classic shooter brushed-up with modern technology.
Booting it up during Christmas, I was more than expecting myself to be blown-away. From a number of review sites, the consensus was that this game was the real-deal. With high-expectations, was it well-met? Yup! True enough, the word that Doom is THE bad-ass game of 2016 is not a deliberate lie to sell. It can be said that I enjoyed it far more than the run-of-the-mill shooters of recent times.
I won’t bother reviewing it as it is damn late to do so, but if another opinion in the internet matters, yeah, I would recommend the hell out of it. So with that, do yourself a favor and buy Doom. It’s currently offered at a bargain in Steam and it’s really one of the best games of 2016.
