In Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes (FEW3H), players can recruit characters during the campaigns. These characters can then be used in the battlefield, be used to recruit other characters, or even romanced. Get to know how to recruit characters in the game using this guide.
How To Recruit Characters In Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes
Persuade Them During Battles
Before main battles, players can use “Strategies” to help gain advantage in the battlefield. Here, you can choose an option to “Persuade”. Once the said character appears in the battlefield, the player can choose to launch the strategy by pressing and holding the right D-pad. Make sure to do this before beating them as you might kill them instead of recruiting them. Afterwards, defeat the character as you would with normal enemies to convince them to join your side. Note that not all characters have this option.
Some Require Other Characters
For some Strategies to work, some characters have to be present in the battlefield. Thankfully, the game notifies you if this is the case. Characters that require other characters will have an icon of the required present character when you highlight their persuade option in the Strategy screen. This also means that some characters that you have encountered prior may need to be recruited to convince others to join your faction.
Acquire Them During The Campaign
As the story progresses, more characters may join your faction. Some additions may even be surprising given the current circumstances and the politics in the game. There’s nothing for you to do with this method and you only have to move the story forward.
Fulfill Certain Conditions
At some point in the game (Chapter 10), players will be presented with a choice. Depending on what the player has chosen, the game may allow your faction some unique characters for recruitment. Read more about these unique characters here.
Recruit Characters In New Game Plus
Certain special characters can be recruited once you complete the game. Without spoiling too much, you can unlock these secret characters by using the menu in your personal tent and spending Renown.
