In Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes (FEW3H), players can sometimes encounter locked treasure chests in maps. Get to know how to open them, what you get from them, and more using this guide.
In maps with treasure chests, a Thief always spawns to nab what’s inside of the chest. Defeat this thief to get the key. Once you acquire the key, you can swap to any character and open the chest to get its contents. Also, you might have to wait for a couple of minutes for the Thief to spawn sometimes. If this happens, try to complete objectives first and wait for the Thief to appear.
In some cases, the Thief can get to the treasure chest first. Don’t fret as you can still get the chest’s contents by intercepting the Thief before it escapes. Just defeat the Thief while it runs towards its final destination to get the item/s.
Even without a key, you can open chests with Characters that have a Lockpick skill. Characters like Ashe can open Chests by simply walking up to them and interacting with them. You can also command these characters to open chests using the map.
In the battlefield, chests contain equipment and permanent stat boost items. Get them when you can as they may be a boon to your faction’s combat effectiveness. You can view the obtained items, the ones with the treasure chest icon, at the end of the battle.
