[First Look] Cherry Mobile Flare P1, P1 Plus, P1 Mini and J1 2017

Cherry invited us into their office to check out their latest lineup of devices, the new Cherry Mobile Flare P1 series and the J1 2017. These smartphones are the affordable range of Cherry including their 1st dual-camera series.

Dual Camera Series

Flare P1

The Flare P1 is the most affordable dual-camera smartphone (that is actually working SKK) at Php3,999. It’s a plastic body smartphone that has bokeh capabilities using the dual rear camera setup, but overall a good entry level smartphone.

Durable Smartphone

Flare J1 2017

The Flare J1 2017 features a durable LCD that can withstand a good amount of beating, though the glass wasn’t specified but it’s similar to glass used in watches. Just a reminder that it can still shatter, but can withstand more than the usual glass.

Overall body is made of plastic with a removable back cover, it feels light and a bit thick due to the durable LCD screen. It retails for Php2,699 and will be available soon.

Affordable Flare

Flare P1 Mini

The P1 Mini is definitely a mini-smartphone at only 4″ with a removable back cover similar to Lumia phones. It’s available in various colors but the white sample we have is already a darling and good for a secondary phone.

The Flare P1 is a basic smartphone with a very thin body as well, it has a decent screen color and brightness as well. It’s light and most probably will remind you of the nostalgia phones of 2013.
