When it comes to mirrorless cameras, we have just the bare knowledge about this kind of photography. Since these days, a good lighting paired with a good smartphone camera is already good enough for social media, but I was wrong when Fujifilm showed the importance of having a dedicated camera.
In their experience event for the Fujifilm X-T3 Mirrorless, I got to use an ultra-wide lens for taking action shots. While other participants were a mix of prime and zoom lens depending on the choices.
We got into three series of exhibitions with professional bike riders, displaying extraordinary talents in tricks, speed, and flare. It’s an ideal scenario in highlighting the improved autofocus capabilities of the Fujifilm X-T3, especially the 30fps digital shutter capturing.
Being the highest in the X series, it features a new X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 image processing engine, delivering the highest image resolving performance, color reproducibility, and fastest processing in the history of the X series. Not to mention that the X-T3 is also powerful in video capabilities by delivering up to 60fps 4K resolution videos, along with a spots finder mode for faster capturing of moving objects.
We liked the dynamics of Fuji in having dedicated dials for both shutter and ISO controls, it gives more control especially when you are an experienced user in the camera field. For us, we had some trouble at first, but Resource speaker Mikko David was able to guide us for tips and tricks in what settings to use best for the easiest shots in both indoor, outdoor and even what kind of shots we want to focus on.
As you can see in the sample photos above, these are all captured using the Fujifilm X-T3 with great autofocus and responsive performance. Our 32GB SD card was able to carry 1500+ shots, enough for an afternoon of rapid shooting and in just one battery charge as well.
While we still have a lot of things to learn in advance mirrorless camera utilization, it’s nice that mirrorless cameras today especially the X-T3 are now combating and giving more opportunity towards action photography.
Let us face that any scenery shots are easy with mirrorless now, but action photography is still one aspect that Fujifilm is very proud to focus on. We believe that they were able to deliver their claims in the demonstration and we are still in the process of doing our full review of the X-T3.
Mostly, that’s a basic coverage of what happened with us last week. Simply put, the Fujifilm X-T3 didn’t disappoint and overall impressed us in how fast in autofocus and shutter speeds.
