Garena Undawn has unveiled Desert Fury, its latest patch update that will launch on 24 August. The patch update will present players with the new Golden Desert map — as they traverse the sandy terrains of the barren land, players will be invited by the Raven Shelter to embark on investigations into the mystery behind the colossal beasts lurking amongst towering golden dunes.
Players can also look forward to a new Rally Racing gameplay mode and two new character roles, Highwayman and Troubadour, alongside a variety of in-game milestone rewards that can be redeemed from 24 to 30 August.
Upon stepping into the new Golden Desert map, players will team up with seasoned sniper Catherine on a mission to look for missing comrades and to uncover the truth behind the unknown threat. Players who have reached level 70 can also try their hand at battling against the game’s newest Boss – the ever-evasive Giant Sandworm.
In the new Rally Racing gameplay mode, players get to go for a spin on fancy vehicles and can journey through six different racing tracks located in the various maps. A list of vehicle options will be available based on the specific game mode.
Players will be introduced to the Golden Track located on the outskirts of the Golden Desert, where they can select their preferred ride from a range of cars and jeeps. Once a rally racecourse spanning mountains and deserts, the track is now home to the annual “Golden Lightning Cup” World Rally Race, a world-class off-road rally event.
On top of the many professions characters can currently take on in the game, Garena Undawn will be adding two new roles, Highwayman and Troubadour. Players will soon be able to choose from modifying and creating their own unique vehicles as a professional Highwayman, or jamming to the passionate rhythm of punk music as a free-spirited Troubadour.
Several in-game rewards designed after the desert-themed patch update will also be available during the event period to thank players for their participation.
Those who log in from 24 to 30 August can unlock free exclusive items such as a Punk Rock outfit and an honorary ‘Golden Explorer’ title. Additionally, Garena will be giving away a limited-edition Call of the Blue instrument bag to those who play the game on 26 August.
Garena Undawn is now available on the App Store and Google Play in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. Check out Garena Undawn’s official channels for the latest updates:
