In Ghostwire: Tokyo, you get to upgrade skills as Akito to help you in your fights. But what are the best skills to upgrade first? Are there any recommended skills to get? Read this guide to know more.

Ghostwire Tokyo – Best Skills To Upgrade

Upgrade Wind Weaving

Wind Weaving is your bread and butter attack. It has a large SP capacity and ammo is not as scarce as the other two. Upgrade it as soon as you can and get their Prayer Beads (Gust Beads) once you unlock the Torii gates that reward them.

Gust Beads Location

  • Hatsuike Shrine (unlocked in Chapter 3)
  • Kamio Shrine (unlocked in Chapter 4)

Upgrade Your Gliding Skills

Ghostwire Tokyo Glide Skill

Gliding can get you to places. Places where you can get souls, money, and unique items. Invest points into this as soon as you can to speed up leveling during the early phases of the game.

Get The Upgraded Tengu Grapple

Another mobility skill, the upgraded Tengu grapple “Amenotori X” allows you to climb up to heights from virtually anywhere. Similar to the gliding skill, upgrade this one once you have the necessary skill points. You can upgrade this once you get the required Magatama during Chapter 3.

Core Grabs Help During Combat

Ghostwire Tokyo Core Grab

Core Grabs are your takedowns during combat. They greatly help by providing cores and possibly health. Prioritize getting Core Grab – HP Restoration for sustain and Duration Boost. If you have the extra Skill Points, allot some to speed up your Core Grabs.

Get More Prayer Bead Slots

Ghostwire Prayer Beads

Prayer Beads greatly power up your skills and abilities as long as they are equipped. The more slots you have, the more Prayer Beads you can equip. Start upgrading this skill once you reach the mission “Blindness” in Chapter 3.
