Gigabyte is preparing to launch 2 new AMD-powered notebooks in the Philippines. Both the 2025 Aero A16 and Gaming A16 gaming laptops come with AMD Ryzen AI processors paired with RTX graphics.
First up is the 2025 refresh of the Gigabyte Aero A16. It is now powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor with up to 50 TOPS to assist with local AI processing. There are 2 DDR5 SO-DIMM slots which can be upgraded up to 64GB DDR5-6400 memory while storage supports 2 M.2 2280 (PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 4.0 x2) drives.
It can be equipped with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU depending on the performance you’re looking for. At the front is a 16.0-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 running at 165Hz.
There are plenty of ports on its chassis including a single USB 4.0 Type-C port, 2 USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, a sole USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, DC-in, RJ-45 for Ethernet, and a 3.5mm Combo Jack. It is powered by a 76Whr Li-Polymer battery that supports 150W charging through its DC-in port.
The Gigabyte Aero A16 will come in three variants: an RTX 5050 version for PhP 78,995, an RTX 5060 model for PhP 87,995, and the top-end variant with an RTX 5070 for PhP 99,995.
Another AMD-powered notebook from Gigabyte is the entry-level gaming laptop 2025 Gaming A16. While it’s a tier below the Aero A16, it still has plenty to offer including up to an AMD Ryzen 7 260 with up to 15 TOPS, 2 DDR5 SO-DIMM slots for up to 64GB DDR5-5600 RAM, and 2 M.2 2280 slots for up to 4TB of PCIe 4.0 x4 storage.
You’ll be able to choose from 3 GPUs for the notebook: RTX 4050, RTX 5050, and RTX 5060. Depending on the variant, it can come either a 16.0-inch 2560 x 1600 165Hz IPS display or a 16.0-inch 1920 x 1200 16GHz screen. Regardless of screen resolution, all models ship with a 76Whr battery with 150W AC charging.
Ports include a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, 2 USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A, a single USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1 TDMS, RJ-45 Ethernet, and a 3.5mm combo jack.
The Gigabyte Gaming A16 starts at PhP 53,995 in the Philippines. The lowest model comes with an Intel Core i5-13420H with an RTX 4050 GPU for PhP 53,995, while RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 variants will come with an AMD Ryzen 7 260 CPU for PhP 66,995 and PhP 73,995, respectively.
