Globe is aggressively expanding their 5G capabilities across the Philippines. Earlier this quarter, they started covering more areas in Metro Manila and today, they have added 17 more cities across the National Capital Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.

They have currently unlocked the capabilities of 5G in select areas in Bacolod, Boracay, Iloilo, Talisay, Lapu-Lapu, Cordova, Minglanilla, Cebu City in Visayas; and in Davao and Cagayan De Oro in Mindanao. Globe subscribers in these areas can now take advantage of 5G and its faster speeds and lower latency.

In the first week of November, Globe’s 5G network has already reached certain areas in Davao City. Subscribers are encouraged to get their 5G-capable mobile devices via postpaid plans or from Globe stores in Davao City in order to experience the next step in mobile data.

Globe has added more sites to widen its 5G availability in Metro Manila They are currently on track for its target to cover around 80% of Metro Manila in 5G by the end of 2020.
