While Globe has been aggressively expanding their 5G network in the Philippines, they have also been working on delivering better speeds to travelers and workers outside the country. Today, it is debuting their new 5G roaming service in Thailand in collaboration with AIS, Thailand’s largest telco.
Those who will connect to Globe’s 5G roaming service can expect to receive uninterrupted services and faster mobile data speeds in 77 provinces in Thailand.
Once mainstream travel resumes, Globe customers with a 5G SIM and a 5G-powered smartphone can now experience seamless video calls and lightning-fast speeds thanks to the new Globe Roam Surf399, which comes with all-day data for postpaid and 1GB for prepaid. 5G speeds can also be enjoyed on other Roam Surf promos with no additional charges.
“Although traveling may be challenging at the moment, we recognize that some Filipinos will find it necessary to leave the safety of their homes to fulfill important obligations abroad. As such, they are assured of instant and seamless connectivity wherever they are with Globe’s 5G roaming service,” said KD Dizon, Globe’s Head for Consumer Mobile Business.
