Globe 5G signals now has coverage in 88% of NCR

-

Based on Globe’s latest report, at least 88% of the National Capital Region (NCR) now has Globe 5G coverage outdoor coverage with Bonifacio Global City CBD and Ortigas CBD having the highest coverage at 97%. Makati CBD is third at 96% coverage while Pateros places fourth with 92% availability. The telco’s 5G network is available in at least 82% or more in 13 cities in Metro Manila.

The Globe 5G network is also accessible in 81% of Cebu City, 68% of Boracay Island, 67% of Bacolod City, and 53% of Iloilo City.

We are happy that more customers are now adopting 5G technology so they can experience the advantages and benefits of 5G. Our customers are discovering the potential of 5G and how it improves their way of communicating, working, and making the most out of the opportunities available online especially in this time of the pandemic,” said Issa Guevarra-Cabreira, Globe Chief Commercial Officer.

Globe’s 5G network has also been hailed as the “most available” coverage in NCR for 5G-capable devices in Q1 2021 according to Ookla Speedtest Intelligence Data. This metric represents the portion of users on 5G-capable devices who spend the majority of their time on a 5G network.

Ookla’s data highlights Globe’s expanding 5G coverage, which makes it possible for customers to latch on the Globe 5G network much longer compared to other telcos. Sustained fire ups and boosting of 5G sites and the availability of affordable devices have contributed to the increased usage of 5G.

You can check out 5G plans and 5G-capable devices from Globe via their official online store.
