Globe has exposed illegal activities perpetrated by certain individuals and online stores rebranding their Globe At Home models and illegally selling them as DITO modems. DITO stickers are placed on the modems in order to mimic their branding on the devices.
Globe At Home modems are unlocked without authorization and their SIMs replaced with DITO SIM cards. The trademark is then replaced with a sticker of DITO. All Globe t Home Prepaid WiFi kits have pre-inserted SIMs ready for activation via the Globe At Home app or FB messenger upon purchase.
Globe is prepared to take necessary legal action against these individuals and establishments carrying out these deceptive business practices, through the assistance of law enforcement authorities.
Anyone who has bought, experienced, or has been made aware of this illegal activity may report the matter to the Department of Trade and Industry – Consumer Protection group through their email address or text 09178343330. Reports may also be done through the Globe At Home’s official FB messenger.
The telco is reminding the public to only buy from Globe At Home stores, authorized dealers and online sites to ensure right quality and service.
