Globe is expanding their 5G coverage in other important areas in Metro Manila. When their 5G network was introduced last year, their initial rollout included areas such as Bonifacio Global City, Makati CBD< Rockwell Center, Ortigas CBD, and strategic areas along EDSA and C5.

To boost its coverage, Globe is now including these areas to the list of 5G connected domains:

  • Taguig
  • Pasig
  • Mandaluyong
  • Marikina
  • Parañaque
  • Muntinlupa
  • Las Piñas
  • Valenzuela
  • Caloocan

We’re firing up our 5G within these cities’ select vicinities which are residential areas and centers of daily commerce. The deployment of Globe’s 5G is strategic as we’re targeting those main nerve centers that in the very near future would benefit greatly from the transformative power of better and faster connectivity,” said Coco Domingo, Globe VP for Strategic Platforms and Partnerships.

In order to take advantage of 5G, a 5G-ready smartphone is needed to connect to the network. Globe is offering a variety of 5G smartphones on their postpaid plans. They are also reducing the prices of plans required for these smartphones to bring down the barrier to entry of 5G until September 30, 2020.
