The Galaxy S8 is a few weeks away here in the Philippines and local telco Globe telecom just announced their Galaxy S8 pricing and package details. We assembled a chart for you including the full detail of each plan, so you won’t have to look at them one by one.
Samsung Galaxy S8
Globe promotes the Plan 1799 with Php19,200 cash out or Php800 monthly. This includes 11GB of monthly data, 3 months free Spotify premium,6 months free HOOQ and Netflix and 1 months free gadget care worth 399 a month.
Overall, it’s the most balanced at Php2,599 a month while having all offers and a good data size. Their plans 599 – 999 offer very low data allocation that isn’t worth getting for a premium smartphone, if this is the case then just get a sim-free plan (with more perks) and avail a Galaxy S8 separately.
The highest plan offers 16GB worth of data at Php2949 a month, you even have consumable amount monthly for add-ons such as content apps or extra calls.
Samsung Galaxy S8+
The Galaxy S8+ is similar to the plans of the Galaxy S8 with slightly higher monthly fees. Plan 1799 will add up Php1000 monthly for a total of a Php2,799 monthly fee for 24 months lock-in period.
Renewal plans for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ while on pre-order period will get a free Samsung Wireless Bottle Speaker worth Php5,099. Unfortunately, new contracts will not get any freebie.
Overall, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ plans are very similar to the iPhone 7 Plus and they offer the same monthly data allocation and freebies. We kinda expected a bigger data allocation as they recently upgraded to their ThePLAN, but it seems the leap of the cost of the Galaxy S8 affected the offering of Globe.
