With 5G already here in the Philippines, Globe is now starting to rollout 5G-ready SIM cards to its customers. This will allow 5G to be more accessible to the general public as it steadily cover more and more areas in the country.

These 5G SIM cards will now be replacing the LTE SIM cards found on all Globe Stores, its online shop, and official dealers and resellers. Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers with LTE SIM cards don’t need any additional upgrades or replacing as they are already 5G-compatible.

In order to take advantage of the 5G network, however, you’ll need a 5G-compatible device. Globe is offering a range of 5G smartphones on their store including the Huawei Mate 40 Series and the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G.

Currently, Globe 5G is covered within areas such as Bonifacio Global City, Valero Street in Makati, Rockwell Center, and Gen. Malvar in Ortigas. More areas will be expected to be serviced by 5G as they roll out the service to the general public.
