Globe has officially launched the latest Globe at Home plans. Using 5G technology, the brand is now able to reach more customers with Fiber speeds .
The Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G postpaid plans can now offer fiber-like speeds of up to 100Mbps while providing larger data caps of up to 2TB.
Initially available in select areas in Pasig, Cavite, and Bulacan, the brand aims connect more than 2 million homes to the Internet by 2020.
Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G will start rolling out on July 2019. Globe will offer three plans initially:
“Globe At Home Air Fiber 5G makes use of fixed location wireless radios instead of fiber optic cables which enables the company to go over the circuitous approval process of deploying a fiber optic cable – a task which proves to be arduous and involves securing multiple permits from local government units,” Cu said. “The right of process can sometimes take years to obtain, causing drastic delays in fiber optic roll-out completion,” he added.
