Globe rolls out eSIM conversion for prepaid subscribers

Globe is launching a new service for their existing prepaid subscribers to convert their physical SIM to eSIM and retain their current number.

The eSIM upgrade is available for Globe prepaid customers via the GlobeOne app. The tool will run a compatibility check to ensure that your device is ready for the upgrade and supports eSIMs. Once it’s confirmed, GlobeOne offers download and installation with the upgrade costing PhP 99.

To upgrade your physical SIM to eSIM, you’ll need to follow these steps:

• Open the GlobeOne app
• Click on SIM Hub and navigate to Change SIM and eSIM
• Follow the on-screen instructions
• Install the eSIM by scanning the QR code from your email

This is a much-awaited quality-of-life addition to existing prepaid subscribers as Globe rolled out eSIMs for new prepaid subscribers earlier this year.
