Globe has made its 5G coverage available in key cities across Metro Manila, Visays, and Mindanao. Their aggressive take in 5G expansion puts them at 94% coverage in NCR with additional plans of expansion in the near future.
The National Capital Region at least has 94% coverage of Globe 5G. Outdoor coverage for Makati and Pateros are at 100% outdoor coverage. Marikina places second at 99% followed by Taguig, Mandaluyong, and Caloocan at 98% 5G availability. San Juan is currently at 97% coverage in their area.
Availability in Commercial Business Districts (CBD) is also on the rise. Ortigas CBD currently has the most coverage at 98% with Makati and BGC CBD at 98% 5G coverage.
In Visayas, Globe 5G is now accessible in 85% of Cebu, 77% of Boracay Island, 75% of Bacolod City, and 66% of Iloilo City. Their services are available in 77% of Davao City, 80% in Cagayan De Oro City in Mindanao.
Efforts are also on the way to build seven new 5G cell towers in General Santos City and the installation of four more in Zamboanga City.
