Globe Telecom releases Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9+ Postpaid Plans

-

With the Samsung Galaxy S9 is now official, this might be the fastest rollout of an S series product with its upcoming March 16 release. Local telcos have already shown interest and we now have Globe Postpaid Plan details after digging through their website.

You can check out the official website posting on the S9 and S9+ here. But don’t worry, it’s our tradition to break down the plan for your convenience and here it is now.

The official page of Globe Galaxy S9 page is now up here

The Galaxy S9 64GB is positioned at Plan 1499 with a total monthly of Php2,499. That already includes 8GB of open data, unli Globe/TM calls and Unli SMS to all networks. Freebies include 3 months Spotify premium and 6 months Netflix with optional gadget care plan.

For the Galaxy S9+ 64GB, there was no reco of an ending in “99” but we see the Plan 1499 is still good with a total monthly of Php2,832. That includes 8GB open data, unli calls to Globe/TM, Unli All-Net SMS, 3 months Spotify Premium and 6 months Netflix.

One weird thing we don’t see here is the GoWatch bundle that Globe is pushing recently, its usually a 10GB free data allocation for videos like Youtube, Netflix, HOOQ and more. We think 8GB open data monthly is just enough for flagship users, so maybe not enough for heavy data users.

Update: As of posting, there aren’t any official material for their freebie of the options like the AKG Bluetooth Speaker, Wireless Charger or accessories worth Php3,500. Globe offers a free Samsung Wireless Charger for all renewals and Plan 2499 and up will get Php2,400 discount. Additionally, all plans will get 1-month free gadget care under band 4 or an insurance with a participation fee of Php4,000 for any incident of an insurance claim. Should you wish to continue the insurance, the fee is Php299 per month.

Release / Pickup of the units starts March 19, 2018 as indicated in the post. A sign that the deployment for the public might be March 16 or exactly 19 for the Philippines.
