Google may be releasing their latest Android Nougat to other device like the LG V20 first but doesn’t mean that they’re giving all of its cool features. Found in Android Police’s website, report said that they are completely giving the launcher app a new make over for the upcoming Nexus 2016.

First, Google is saying goodbye to the launcher icon with the new design. Instead of tapping the middle button to show all of the installed apps, you can give the home screen a swipe up from the bottom for it to appear. You’ll also notice a small white arrow pointing upwards and that the shortcut icons has a background of frosted white. With this, you’ll also have a free icon to be replaced from that middle button.

They’ve also change the search bar. They’ve remove the bar itself and placed a little “G” nub which you can tap to start searching. To the right will be a calendar widget that can’t be removed.

For me, I like the idea. It has less space and more efficient to use. Although it will surely confuse a lot of people and there’s a lot of time getting used to.
