The GoPro Hero12 Black has made its debut in the Philippines. It is GoPro’s new flagship camera and promises quite a few improvements over the last generation including up to twice the battery life, better HDR, up to 5.3K and 4K video resolution, among many others.

GoPro says that the Hero12 Black can record up to 70 minutes of continuous recording at 5.3K60fps, 95 minutes at 5.3K30fps, and around 155 minutes at 1080p30, all of which runs HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization. There is 8x slow motion up to 2.7K resolution while 4K can reach up to 120fps for its 4x slow motion mode.

They say that dynamic range has been improved to enable more colors especially at 5.3K and 4K. The Hero12 will support 10-bit video and GP-Log with LUTs, which will enable enthusiasts or professionals to have additional control in post-production editing and color grading.

It is powered by a 1.1/9-inch sensor with an 8:7 aspect ratio. This allows the Hero12 Black to support a range of aspect ratios including 4:3. 9:16, and 16:9, this can be used across all video resolutions and various effect modes.

If its built-in wide angle lens isn’t cutting it, GoPro has also released the Max Lens Mod 2.0 that delivers 36% wider field of view when capturing wide screen or 48% taller field of view on vertical captures. It has a better scratch-resistant lens and a hydrophobic lens coating.

The GoPro Hero12 Black will also support recording straight from Bluetooth devices such as Apple AirPods, earbuds, headphones, and microphones. This can be great for vloggers if they need an external Bluetooth recording device on their shoots.
