Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) announced today that the global sell-through for the popular Gran Turismo franchise have passed 80.4 million units*1 in the 20 years since the game was launched. Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo franchise and President of Polyphony Digital Inc., commented:

The latest installment of the Gran Turismo franchise, Gran Turismo Sport, is hosting FIA Gran Turismo Championships 2018, in partnership with the Fédèration Internationale de l’Automobile where competitors will take part in a series of races to be the ultimate winner of the championships and further details of the upcoming “Online Season” will soon be announced.
