Helldivers 2 X Halo: ODST Collab Is True, Dropping On 8/26

If you told me this a decade ago, I would’ve laughed at the absurdity. Microsoft Xbox and Sony Playstation have finally collaborated and this is the result: Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST. Popular 3rd-person shooter and (formerly) Playstation/PC-exclusive, Helldivers 2 is set to release a legendary warbond containing cosmetics and weapons from well-regarded Halo title, Halo: ODST. The war bond is set to release on the 26th of August, the same day the game releases on Xbox Series X|S. More details below.

Warbond Contents

Armor Sets

There are two armor sets in this Legendary Warbond:

• A-9 Helljumper
• A-35 Recon

Both armors come with the “Feet First” passive which reduces the noise made by when moving. It also makes the user immune to leg injuries and grants a 30% increase to the range of discovering points of interest.

Weapons

A total of four weapons will appear with the warbond:

• MASC Assault Rifle
• M75 SMG
• M90A Shotgun
• M6C/SOCOM – Pistol

Patterns (Cosmetics/Skins)

There are four Patterns available in this legendary warbond:

• FRV Skin
• Exo Suit Skin
• Shuttle Skin
• Hellpod Skin

Other Contents

Among other things, the legendary warbond also has the following goodies to offer:

• Honored Heirloom Cape
• Eye of the Clandestine Cape
• “Rookie” Player Title

Price Of The Legendary Warbond

We already have an official price for the Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST legendary warbond and it will cost 1,500 Super Credits. Super Credits can be bought with real money or you can find it in missions as you explore and exterminate the enemies of humanity. Truth be told, if you’re really in a hurry, buying it directly may be the better route.

Teased In The Previous Trailer

The eventual arrival of this legendary warbond was teased in a trailer released just last week. In the last scene of the trailer, a drop pod arrives at a rainy and dark city. Accompanying this scene is a music that may be familiar to many: the music of Halo: ODST.

The scene started it all and it managed to enamour not just Xbox players but also existing Helldivers 2 players as well. Finally, world peace has been achieved and Microsoft and Sony have finally decided to play nice. For now.

Launches Together With The Xbox Version

This legendary warbond launches together with the Xbox Series X|S version of Helldivers 2 on the 26th of August. Although already enjoyed by Sony PS5 and PC players through Steam, Helldivers 2, a previously Playstation-exclusive, has finally reneged and decided to grace the green console’s players with its full glory. Finally, more meat for the meat grinder!
