HMD is entering the 5G smartphone game with the Nokia 8.3 5G. As one of the first smartphones to support 5G, HMD is not skimping on features equipping the device with a Snapdragon 765G and quad rear cameras from Zeiss.
The Nokia 8.3 5G comes with a rather large 6.81-inch IPS 2400 x 1080 display. It supports HDR10, DCI-P3- and is rated for 96% NTSC coverage. A punch-hole is present at the top left portion of the display to house its 24MP f/2.0 Zeiss front-facing camera.
At the rear are four cameras from Zeiss placed in a circular arrangement: a 64MP f/1.8 main, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The device has EIS and supports 4K recording as well as 21:9 video capture.
HMD says that the Nokia 8.3 5G will have global coverage of the 5G network. The smartphone gets its juice from a 4,500mAh battery and is charged via a USB Type-C port with 18W Fast Charging.
