The HMD Barbie Phone might be one of the most iconic partnerships of the company with Mattel. Launched last month, the Barbie Phone is a feature phone clad in Barbie design and style. It seems that HMD is planning to bring the device into the Philippines according to their Lazada store.
Based on HMD’s official Lazada store, the Barbie Phone is priced at PhP 8,990 in the Philippines. It’s currently up for pre-order with a sale price of only PhP 6,590.
Its pricing does seem correct as it launched with a USD 129 price tag, which is around PhP 7,200 without taking into consideration tax and duties.
The HMD Barbie Phone is a feature phone with a retro flip design. Its cover is interchangeable to fit alternative cases to fit your style. You can add your own accessories on its beaded phone strap from a selection of gems and Barbie-themed stickers.
As it is a feature phone, hardware is pretty bare. It does come with a 0.3MP camera, a torch, and a built-in mirror to take selfies with. Its software includes a Barbie-themed UI plus easter eggs like dialing *#227243 or BARBIE on its keypad.
