In Hogwarts Legacy, players can get broom upgrades to make the brooms faster and easier to handle. Get to know how to get these upgrades, how much for each one, and more using this guide.
Upgrade | Unlock Requirement | Effects |
1 | Clear “Flight Test” and “Pervical Rackham’s Trial” | An enhancement that increases your broom’s acceleration and speed |
2 | Clear “Sweeping the Competition” and “It’s All Gobbledegook” | An enhancement that significantly increases your broom’s acceleration and speed |
3 | Clear “The Sky is the Limit” | An enhancement that increases your broom’s acceleration and speed to the fullest extent. |
To get the upgrades, you must defeat Imelda Reyes a total of three times. Each time you defeat her, an upgrade becomes available for you to use in the next fight.
Aside from beating Imelda Reyes’ time, you also have to advance the story a bit. As you advance the story, new areas are unlocked and the game also shifts to a new season. This change opens up the trials that you have to beat to get the next broom upgrade.
Albie Weekes, the seller of broom cosmetics at Hogsmeade, is the person that sells you the upgrades. Broom Upgrades increase in price after you purchase each one. It is likely that you might have trouble in getting the second and third upgrades as they require you to pay a lot of gold/galleons. Be sure to stock up on funds before getting the upgrade, specially the third one, as it is quite pricey.
The “Flying Class’ quest is part of the main storyline and is required to progress the game. This quest is where you get the ability to fly using a broom. After clearing this quest, completing the conditions and advancing the game unlocks further upgrades for the broom. Aside from the broom, you also get to unlock additional mounts as you journey in Hogwarts Legacy.
