A number of Diricawl Dens are scattered around the map. You may visit them to capture a Diricawl or two so you can breed them and use their feathers to upgrade equipment.

Hogwarts Legacy Diricawl Arresto Momentum

To pin a Diricawl, use Arresto Momentum. However, it may be hard to get near it as Diricawls teleport away when they spot you. To prevent this, you can sneak up on them using “Disillusionment”. Once you get near a Diricawl, use Arresto Momentum to stop it from moving then capture it.

Capturing a Diricawl is part of a quest. The quest teaches you the spell Bombarda, so take the opportunity and get two Diricawls so that you can breed them later.

Diricawls can be bred and its feathers harvested to upgrade equipment. You can farm Diricawl Feathers and then use it with the Enchanted Loom to add Level 2 Traits to your equipment.

Diricawls are plump, fluffy birds incapable of flight. They have the unique ability to vanish and reappear to escape danger. Muggles are aware of these birds at one time and called them Dodos. However, Muggles now believe them to be extinct.
