A number of Giant Purple Toad Dens are scattered around the map. You may visit them to capture a Giant Purple Toad or two so you can breed them and use their Toadwarts to upgrade equipment.
To pin a Giant Purple Toad, use Arresto Momentum. You can also use Accio and Levioso for the same effect. Once you have it secured, try to get as near as you can and capture it.
Capturing a Giant Purple Toad is part of a quest. The quest teaches you the spell Bombarda, so take the opportunity and get two Giant Purple Toads so that you can breed them later.
