In Hogwarts Legacy, you get to meet a lot of amazing characters as you progress your adventure. However, there’s probably one big question in your mind as you continue your journey: can you romance characters? Unfortunately, there’s no romance in the game. Despite meeting wonderful characters, you cannot go into any exclusive (or multiple) relationship in the game. You can only do quest lines for specific characters but it ultimately ends with your character being friends with them. Maybe they can bring this mechanic next game?

Although there is no romance mechanic in Hogwarts Legacy, you do get a bunch of character-related quests. Doing these quests not only gives you more about the world’s lore but also see the characters themselves grow with your character. In addition, these quests reward you with powerful spells and unique cosmetics. When you can, try to do these side quests first before taking on the main missions.
The characters above have side quests that progress and you need to clear them in sequence.
In some cases, you need to also advance the story for you to receive updates about your friends’ quests. Make sure to progress the story steadily while doing companion side quests from time to time. Character side quests usually arrive via Owl so you’ll see a prompt about their availability on the upper left side of the screen.
