Honor 10 goes official, comes with Kirin 970 and AI cameras

Honor might be a sub-brand of Huawei, but that doesn’t mean that they will be designated on the sidelines. Honor has just released the Honor 10, a smartphone almost comparable to Huawei’s own P20 series. Honor’s new smartphone is a more affordable option for consumers with a Kirin 970 SoC.

Aside from the SoC, the Honor 10 comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage. In terms of display, the smartphone has a 5.84 19:9 display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080. Like the P20, the Honor 10 comes with its own AI assisted cameras; a dual 24MP f/2.4 monochrome + 16MP f/1.8 RGB at the back and a 24MP f/2.0 shooter at the front. Unlike the P20 series, however, the Honor 10’s lenses aren’t backed by Leica.

The Honor 10 comes installed with Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1. It will also come with AI-assisted features that were introduced by previous Huawei smartphones like AI real-time scene and object recognition, AI portrait mode, and Face Unlock among many others.

The Honor 10 will be available in four different colors: Glacier Grey, Midnight Black, Phantom Blue, and Phantom Green. It will cost EUR 400 (PhP 25,000). Hopefully, the Honor 10 will arrive in our local shores as the brand has made a comeback in the Philippines with the Honor 9 Lite.
