Honor has officially unleashed their brand new sub-15K monster, the Honor 8X. With a Kirin 710, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage, the Honor 8X aims to redefine what smartphones can do in a fairly budget range.
At the front of the Honor 8X is a 6.5-inch Notch Full-View Display 2.0 with 19.5:9 ratio with a 2340 x 1080 resolution encased in a 5.5-inch body. This results in the display having a 91% screen-to-body ratio. Its new display is also TUF Rhheinland certified to reduce blue light radiation from the screen thus leading to a more comfortable viewing experience.
Inside the Honor 8X is a Kirin 710 SoC backed by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone boosts its performance via GPU Turbo that essentially increases the clock speeds of the GPU leading to a more pleasant gaming experience.
At the back of the smartphone is a dual lens setup with the Honor 8X having a 20MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary depth lens. This combination can get the Honor 8X better bokeh on shots. At the front, meanwhile, is a sole 16MP front-facing camera.
The cameras are also backed by AI functionalities. Scene recognition are now thrown in on the package with the Honor 8X able to recognize several up to 500 scenarios in several different categories. The AI also helps the smartphone’s image stabilization especially in its Night Mode.
