The HONOR 90 5G has finally arrived in the Philippines. It is a direct upgrade from the HONOR 70 and it has some key improvements from the current range of midrangers including a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset over the Snapdragon 778G+. The most important, however, is the 200MP which is one of thee highest pixel counts in the midrange arena and even flagships.
Near Flagship Cameras
Some midrange smartphones cap out at 108MP but the HONOR 90 5G goes a step above with a 200MP f/1.9 main camera. This allows it to get more details and photos and it even has a 2x lossless zoom even without a dedicated telephoto camera.
Backing up the 200MP f/1.9 main camera is a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide that allows you to capture wider images to include more background and if you have the skill for it, even selfies if you have the proclivity for it.

The performance of the 200MP f/1.9 main camera of the HONOR 90 5G is fantastic on its own. It can deliver remarkable photos. By default, it takes 12MP shots if good saturation and sharp details. Bumping it up to 200MP has slightly less colors due to lack binning but have significantly more detail allowing you to zoom in to details you might not have noticed like leaves on the background or even the waves of the sea. If you’re more into selfies, you can take advantage of its 50MP f/2.4 camera to get detailed and beautiful selfies.
But what are the advantages of a 200MP camera? Well, we’ve already mentioned about greater detail but you can also get 2x lossless zoom thanks to HONOR’s software. This allows the primary camera to act as a telephoto lens despite not having a dedicated zoom camera. It also enables you to crop the photo that you want from the frame without sacrificing clarity and resolution.
