The HONOR 90 is a very successful product that created a standard for the price band of Php24,990 by delivering a premium design and flagship level camera of 200MP to more Filipinos. With the HONOR 90 Lite, the same formula is seen for the price of Php12,990.

Similar to flagship smartphones, the HONOR 90 Lite has the 6.7 edgeless display with narrow bezels compared to conventional smartphone. Resulting to a more compact and lighter feel into the hands thanks to the 179g overall weight.
The back is a flat panel with a very fine matte texture, this is kinda similar to the touch of an iPhone Pro Max series honestly and we like it due to the solid color and non-fingerprint magnet properties.
Not IPS but LTPS which is a more refined version of IPS technically. This results to a more vibrant, brighter and almost AMOLED-like impression for the FHD+ display. The 90Hz refresh rate display is ideal for everyday content, plus we like that this phone is compact and doesn’t heat up unlike other AMOLED displays in this price point.
We didn’t encounter any color miss on the unit fortunately, just remember to set the settings already to vivid for the best output if possible.
The corners of the HONOR 90 Lite 5G are plastic and flat similar to the iPhone. The only difference here is that the HONOR 90 Lite 5G is a lot thinner, makit it very ideal for the demographics of wanting their smartphone to be light as possible.
The 100MP Camera on the 90 Lite is easy to use overall, there is just a slight delay in the shutter speed when taking shots at low light. Details are fine with just overall lacking spectrum of “red” in our preference especially in food shots.
The 16MP front camera is nothing special for this price point. Photos are detailed, but expect noise by night shots as this is something that’s normal at this price point.
The 4500mAh battery on the HONOR 90 Lite 5G is just enough for you to pass through the day without charging. We get around 20% battery lent especially when you leave your home as early as 6am.
Charging is also pretty standard at 22.5W becoming full in just one hour and fouty-fibe minutes. But take note that 22.5W is faster than non-fastcharging 10W chargers, but we find this lackluster given that HONOR is very established in fast charging.
The Mediatek 6020 processor is the one spec in this smartphone that might scratch any techie person. But do remember that this processor can handle most applications without any major hiccups.
We do understand that HONOR is prioritizing details and refining experience at this price point in physical aspect. Just keep in mind that if you are more of a gamer, most games aside from ML will encounter lags already in this configuration. Everything else normal tasks will do fine with the Dimensity 6020 processor.
While the RAM is 8GB and still expandable via virtual RAM extension, while the storage is 256GB is a great package to keep you hungry to keep on shooting or consume content.
The HONOR 90 Lite is focused more on refinement in it’s physical traits with a great body, smaller footprint and even a delightful LTPS display. It stands out versus other brands when you feel it for yourself in actual. It has decent performance and acceptable details for its camera package. Though the 4500mAh battery might be not to standards now, the target of HONOR for the 90 Lite is definitely people whoi appreciate more of refined experience rather than overpowered specs. It’s thinner and sleeker in profile, and we see this smartphone ideal for the growing category of ladies who want a smartphone that isn’t chunky and elegant in design.
Overall if you want a smartphone for less than 15k. that is sleek, light, beautiful to hold then the HONOR 90 Lite is our recommendation for you. Other specs wise, the HONOR 90 Lite just performance right, but nothing annoying enough to be disappointing.
