HONOR has announced that they will begin offering 7 years of Android OS and security upgrades for its flagship Magic Series smartphones.
This announcement is part of the HONOR ALPHA PLAN – the brand’s commitment to putting customers first. This makes them one three smartphone brands, along with Samsung and Google, to offer their users extended coverage.
HONOR says that this extended support not only prolongs the lifespan of devices and reduces e-waste and in line with their sustainability standards, but “ensures users enjoy secure, high-performing devices with the latest AI technology throughout their extended lifecycles.”
The coverage will start on the HONOR Magic7 Pro in the EU. In the future, they will offer this extended support to more flagship models including bar phones and foldables.
The HONOR ALPHA PLAN is their new corporate strategy to transform the company from a smartphone maker to a global AI device ecosystem.
