The HONOR Pad X9a is slated to launch in the Philippines soon, but retailers have started offering the device through their stores. According to a listing that we found, it seems that the X9a will have a significant price jump from last year’s Pad X8a.
The listing says that the HONOR Pad X9a is priced at PhP 11,999 in the Philippines. It is now up for pre-order with a PhP 1,000 reservation free and will come with a free Bluetooth Speaker Camping Light. If true, the Pad X9a will have a PhP 4,000 premium over its predecessor.
For reference, the tablet is priced at MYR 999 and MYR 1,299 in Malaysia. This puts the device with a directly converted price of PhP 12,996 and PhP 16,899 for the WiFi and 4G LTE variants, respectively.
This increase in price is understandable as the Pad X9a has some upgrade over the Pad X8a. The tablet will now come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G chipset with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, 4G LTE connectivity (although there’s also a WiFi only model), and an 8,300mAh battery with 35W Fast Charging.
Its rear camera has been upgraded as well to an 8MP f/2.0 shooter. It will also come with a 11.5-inch 2508 x 1504 120Hz – a large jump from the previous model’s 11.0-inch 1920 x 1200 screen. We are also getting quad speakers, WiFi 5 connectivity, a 5MP f/2.2 front-facing camera, and the Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0.
The retailers pricing and availability are still unofficial as of now as HONOR has yet to unveil the Pad X9a’s official details. The tablet’s launch date is still on the horizon as well. More details will be available soon. Stay tuned.
