HONOR X9b 5G debuts with 6.78-inch AMOLED Anti-Drop display and 108MP shooter

The HONOR X9b 5G has made its debut on the brand’s global website. It is a direct follow-up of the HONOR X9a 5G, which launched in the Philippines back in January. The smartphone is now using a the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 platform while still packing the attractive features of its predecessor.

HONOR X9b 5G

One of the most interesting features of the original is its screen and that remains on the X9b 5G. It now packs a 6.78-inch Curved AMOLED display at a higher resolution of 2652 x 1200 backed by marketing terms like “Ultra-Bounce” and “Anti-Drop.” Presumably, this will also use a toughened display material to resist damage on the screen.

Another upgrade is its main camera as it is now upped to a 108MP f/1.75 shooter that boasts 3x lossless zoom and 4K30fps recording. Backing it up is a 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens, which is a pretty standard configuration. Meanwhile, the 16MP f/2.45 remains to take selfies at the front.

Battery is upgraded to 5,800mAh though charging speeds is down to only 35W Fast Charging compared to last generation’s 40W. It will run on Android 13 with MagicOS 7.2. It will have 3 color variants the most interesting of which is the Sunset Orange sports vegan leather.
