The HONOR X9b 5G is officially launching in the Philippines this January 12, 2024. It is a direct follow up of the HONOR X9a 5G. It retains its predecessor’s durability and AMOLED screen but upgrades some aspects including its main camera.
The X9b 5G’s 6.67-inch 2652 x 1200 AMOLED display sports an Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display 360 protection that promises to protect its screen from accidental drops or damage. They say that its cushioning material can absorb up to 1.2 times the impact of a drop.
The smartphone is now based on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 platform that’s complemented by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It still sports a 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide and a 2MP f/2.4 macro at the back but updates the main camera to a 108MP f/1.75 shooter.
The front camera stays the same at 16MP f/2.45. Battery size is significantly larger at 5,800mAh though charging speed is slightly slower at only 35W compared to last year’s support for 40W.
