The HONOR X9c has launched, and its more durable and has a bigger battery than its predecessor. These improvements make it one of the toughest offerings from HONOR yet.
Thanks to its Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology 2.0, the X9c is rated for 2m drop resistance. Its chassis is scratch resistant with HONOR claiming it can endure up to 3000 cycles of steel wool friction. The smartphone is also rated IP65M for water resistance that protects its internals from water and damage.
Battery has been increased from 5,800mAh to 6,600mAh. Charging speeds have also been improved with support for HONOR 66W SuperCharge compared to the previous generation’s 35W.
The X9c will sport a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It gets a 6.78-inch 2700 x 1224 120Hz AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
For imaging, HONOR equips the smartphone with a 108MP f/1.75 main camera with a 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide secondary, as well as a 16MP f/2.45 front-facing camera.
The HONOR X9c is now available in select countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. Pricing starts at MYR 1,500 or around PhP 20,000 when directly converted.
There’s no word yet about a local launch in the Philippines. With HONOR’s aggressive expansion, however, it might be just a few weeks or months until we see the device arrive in local shores. Stay tuned.
